Dinner at the Hadley's
We had such a fun evening at the Hadley's. My kids love playing with their kids. They match up so well with them and keep themselves entertained. We had a yummy Cafe Rio dinner and then we roasted marshmallows and had s'mores. We had so much fun our kids didn't get to bed until 11:00. Nine o'clock church comes early. I had to wake all my kids up. Nathan was the hardest with complaining of how tired he was. I told him he could sleep after church and was told he can't nap and therefor didn't want to come to church. He did and I'm pretty sure he is currently napping. I just read an email saying my first counselor's husband was just made the bishop of their ward and I need to choose a new counselor. I am so sad. Her husband must be quite young. They are a wonderful family and I'm sure he'll do great. Sad for me though.

Back to School for Nathan
Being in year round school summer goes pretty quick. Nathan is starting this year at a different elementary school because they are working on his and there isn't time with the year round schedule. So he goes to the park with his friends and rides a bus to school and back. We went and met his teacher this morning. She recently graduated from BYU. She seems like she will be a great teacher. Here's hoping third grade goes well.

Seaver Peaks Water Park in SLC
So I found a great deal on the pass of all passes $29.00 a piece plus a $20 gift card to Target. I bought them in a flash. Unlimited pass to seven peaks plus lots more stuff. But sadly today was our first real use of the passes. Loaded with fun and thanks to Paige even the twins were able to come. I didn't even get a picture with Nathan and Kaleb. They were doing their own thing most of the day. I did learn a few things I'll do different. I'll go early at 9:00 and leave by 12:30 web the park is open to non pass holders. Eat lunch on our way home instead of there. Only rent two tubes and share them. Probably leave M&M home. They had fun but it wore me out!!

Lagoon
We had a great day at Lagoon. Nathan got to go on all the big scary rides and Natalie and I got to spend a nice day together doing whatever she wanted. Terri brought Matthew and Michael for a few hours and they had a blast as well. So I don't have too many pictures of Nathan because well I didn't see him much.

Ice Box Swimming Pool
Did you know these boys love water? If there is water around Matt will find it. And if it looks nice Mike will join him. It was a hot day and they were looking for left over ice. Of coarse there wasn't any ice but I guess we didn't empty the cooler because the ice was obviously now water. Here is the result.
Hair Cuts At Epic
We love Emily! She is amazingly fast and so good at hitting a moving target. These boys wiggle. But both were big boys and sat on the booster seat.
Sunday
Man I love these kids. Nathan and Natalie helping Matthew and Michael cross the parking lot. So cute.
Family Pictures
Here is the only one I have so far. It was a rough day to get everyone looking at the camera. But this one turned out pretty good.

Matt's Latest Injury
First time he was able to go in the big kid section at the gym and look what happens. He's fine though. No stitches. Today it was his tongue when he fell off his stool. This kid always has a cut or bruise somewhere.

Demolition Derby
Wow! How many months in the making was tonight? Three, four, five maybe more. Ryan and many others put in lots of hours getting troop 1202s car ready. Tonight it happened. Riley did a great job driving and I think everyone but Michael enjoyed watching. Michael was so scared and sad when the crashing started. We got a little rain but nothing too bad and the thunder stayed away until it was over. Fun times.
Before
4th of July
We had a great fourth. We started off at the park for breakfast with the mayor. The twins enjoyed playing on these water jugs. Nathan and Natalie got to go over and watch the ATV rodeo. I came home and got stuff ready for our BBQ. Paul and Sarah's family came over early and we took the big kids over to the park for the hay hunt. They rope off a section and fill it with candy, toys, and some money among lots of hay and then have various age groups in to retrieve all they can. Like a huge piƱata exploded. The kids had fun doing that. Then we had our BBQ. We ended up with about 50 people. Most stayed and played and then watched the fireworks. I let Michael and Matthew stay up too and they liked the fireworks. They weren't scared just a little tired and restless. I love the Fourth of July. It is one of my favorite holidays. I feel so blessed to live in this country. I am thankful for those that give up and have given up so much to allow me that freedom. Ryan puts together a cd to play each year and I love listening to that music while we watch the fireworks. It gives me a chance to reflect on how much I love this country. God bless the USA!

Twin's Second Birthday
It's Michael and Matthew's second birthday. I really can't believe it. Two years has gone so fast. Here is what I wrote in Matthew's card: Happy Birthday!
We tried to get the boys to nap today with no luck. We spent some more time in the front yard on their new toys and playing baseball. We faced timed with both grandmas and Emily too. Then we met Ryan at Chick Filet for dinner followed by a quick stop at 31 flavors. Where I got the clown ice cream cones I remembered getting as a kid. Natalie was disappointed at first when I didn't come back with all 31 flavors but all the kids loved my childhood favorite.
Michael and Matthew probably won't remember much from today but I got some great pictures and we had a lot of fun!
I can't believe you are already two years old. What a fun year we've had! You have grown up so much. You are done with your high chair, you're talking, you know all your animal sounds. I couldn't imagine all you would learn in just two years. You are so busy and keep us all on our toes. I love pitching to you in the front room and watching you connect time and time again. You are such a joy. I am so glad you are part of our family. I love you! This is what I wrote in Michael's birthday card: Dear Michael, Happy Birthday! I hope you always like snuggling with me. I love the way you say "nugo" and bring your blanket over to me and then just sit with me. I love how well you listen and try to get Matt to listen too, unless of coarse you really don't want to. Then I'm out of luck. You have surprised me with how well you can climb now. You are so sneaky watching the neighborhood while you're supposed to be sleeping. You are growing so fast. I hope you know I love you to pieces. I am certain we will have another wonderful year. Happy Birthday! The boys woke up long before the big kids. Finally at eight I let them wake them up.
Following this round of colored dye we headed over to the carnival for dollar day. Each ride costs a buck. We bought 20 tickets and let the kids each choose five rides. It was hot and by the end the boys were so tired but they had a blast.
